Occupational Therapist

Start Date: August 2021

Job Qualifications: A valid Illinois license to practice Occupational Therapy (IDPFR)
Duties: The Occupational Therapist will work directly with students in the school setting and provide consultative services. They will be part of a multi-disciplinary team including PTs, teachers, administrators, social workers, SLPs, psychologists, and paraprofessionals.  They will identify and evaluate students needing school-based occupational therapy services.  The OT will implement student interventions and obtain data related to interventions provided. They may also be involved with maintaining/monitoring adaptive and assistive equipment, conducting student observations, implementing MTSS interventions, and assisting with staff training.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Start Date: August 2021
Salary/Benefits: Per collective bargaining agreement (180-day contract)
Type of Employment: Full-time Permanent
Job Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator license endorsed in either Teaching or Non-Teaching SLP or Possess a valid Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the IDFPR. Strong organization and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams. Experience working with children and in the education system is preferred. The ability to sign is preferred.
Duties: Evaluation of students ages 3-21 in a public school environment suspected of having speech-language disabilities. Developing and writing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students. Providing therapy/treatment for students with speech-language disabilities in the school setting as prescribed in their IEPs. The opening may be a split assignment – 1/2 time serving students in our deaf/hard of hearing program and 1/2 time in one of the Cooperative’s member districts.

School Psychologist – School Psychology Interns

Start Date: August 2021
Salary/Benefits: Per collective bargaining agreement (180-day contract)
Type of Employment: Full-time Permanent
Job Qualifications: A valid Illinois PEL endorsed in School Psychology (interns considered)
Duties: The Psychologist will work with building-based teams including principals, teachers, a coordinator, and a social worker. Must have knowledge of RTI/MTSS model using a team approach.

Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired

Start Date: August 2021
Salary/Benefits: Per collective bargaining agreement. Partial Board paid Health Insurance, paid sick, and personal leave.
Type of Employment: Full-time permanent. 180-day contract.
Job Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License with Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired endorsement
Duties: Provide direct services to students with visual impairments, writing IEPs, and providing consultation services to school staff. Develop an individual diagnostic profile and write an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for each child receiving itinerant services; Provide academic tutoring in the subject matter areas that require supportive assistance; Provide professional services to classroom teachers to help them in their relationship with the visually impaired; Participate in an annual review of the child’s progress and rewrite the IEP; Serve as a resource regarding materials and equipment available for the education of the visually impaired.

Job Qualifications: Must have (or be eligible for) a Paraprofessional license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education. Must be at least 19 years of age
