Occupational Therapist

Start Date: ASAP
Salary/Benefits: Per collective bargaining agreement ($45,658 – $73,052).
Type of Employment: 5 days per week (180 days per school year)
Job Qualifications: Illinois Occupational Therapist License (IDFPR)
Duties: The Occupational Therapist will work directly with students in the school setting and provide consultative services. They will be part of a multi-disciplinary team including physical therapists, teachers, administrators, social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, and paraprofessionals.  They will identify and evaluate students needing school-based occupational therapy services.  The OT will implement student interventions and obtain data related to interventions provided. They may also be involved with maintaining/monitoring adaptive and assistive equipment, conducting student observations, implementing MTSS interventions, and assisting with staff training.

Special Education Coordinator 

Start Date: ASAP
Salary/Benefits: Based on education and work experience ($65,000 – $105,000). Partial Board paid Health Insurance, Board paid Life Insurance, paid Sick and Personal leave.  TRS pension position.

Job Qualifications: Professional Educator License (PEL), LBS I and General Administrative or Principal endorsement.
Duties: The Special Education Coordinator will work across various departments to support Cooperative Districts employees, students and initiatives. This individual must have the proper education, experience and licensure to work in a Special Education School District in the State of Illinois.

Type of Employment: Full-time permanent. 180-day contract.
Job Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License with special education endorsement or Long Term Substitute License. Experience working with students with autism is preferred.
Duties: Provide direct services to students with special needs in our public day treatment program. Work closely with the educational team to develop and implement educational programs for students.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Job Qualifications: BCBA Certification with PEL preferred
Duties: Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to assist the team in developing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans. Assist in the implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans. Collect and summarize behavior data to assess and monitor student progress. Provide modeling and feedback to educational staff in the implementation of evidence-based behavioral and instructional practices. Provide professional development training to educational staff on evidence-based behavior management strategies and other topics as needed.  Provide support for districts seeking assistance with the behavioral needs of students. Actively participate on various educational teams to support proactive and responsive behavioral interventions to support students with challenging behaviors.

School Social Worker

Duties: The School Social Worker will work directly with staff to provide social-emotional support for students in the school setting.  They will provide individual social casework evaluation services to identify social and emotional problems of students as a part of initial evaluations and re-evaluations.  Professional development opportunities will be available to this individual as well as the opportunity to receive LCSW Supervision.

Physical Therapist (Part-Time)

Job Qualifications: Illinois Physical Therapist License (IDPFR)
Duties: Provides school-based therapy that is integrated into the school’s educational program as a means to enhance functioning and attain educational objectives; provides support to the total educational system; assists with problem-solving to eliminate barriers that hinder access to educational environments and provides modifications and accommodations to support students in their education program. Designs, develops, and coordinates, in conjunction with other team members, the therapy objectives within the educational program for individual students under the therapist’s direction. Implements professional practices and standards associated with the discipline (e.g. IDFPR, ISBE). Utilizes prevention, promotion, and intervention strategies to support academic achievement and social participation in the educational environment. Contributes to the professional community.
