Overview:
The Black Hawk Area Special Education District is seeking a passionate School Social Worker - Long Term Sub Coverage to support students and staff within our BHASED programs and member districts. The School Social Worker will work directly with staff to provide social-emotional support for students in the school setting.  They will provide individual social casework evaluation services to identify social and emotional problems of students as a part of initial evaluations and re-evaluations.

Overview: 
The Black Hawk Area Special Education District is seeking a passionate and experienced Instructional Coach to support students and staff across the district. The role of the Instructional Coach is to build teacher capacity and their understanding of instructional practices as related to Illinois Learning Standards and Data Driven Instruction. He/she ensures that district adopted curriculum materials are being implemented with fidelity and that staff and students are receiving instruction based on best practices in assessment, instruction, and classroom management. He/she works with the BHASED administration (Director, Principals, Assistant Principals, and SPED Coordinators) to ensure that data-driven instruction is being practiced, while promoting reflection, guidance, and structure where needed; and focusing on strengths, collaboration, and common issues of concern. Overview:
The Black Hawk Area Special Education District is seeking a passionate Instructor for the Project SEARCH program to support students and staff within our BHASED programs and member districts.  This position’s goals are to:

• To serve as a daily coordinating liaison between Project SEARCH, Host-Business (Unity Point-Trinity Rock Island campus), BHASED, Michelle’s Vocational Placement, and the Districts Served. 
• To facilitate students’ transition from school to work through partnerships with school personnel, adult service providers, local Vocational Rehabilitation staff and students/customers and families. 
• As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provide and stimulate cooperative planning and development of each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and the DRS Individual Plan for Employment (IPE). 
• To identify student strengths, interests and abilities related to skill acquisition. 
• To teach and coach interns, case-manage their internships, and monitor and report progress. 
• To partner with host-business departments and develop and lead disability awareness within the host site.
