School Psychologist (2 Openings)

Start Date: August, 2019
Salary/Benefits: Per collective bargaining agreement (180-day contract)
Type of Employment: Full-time Permanent
Job Qualifications: A valid Illinois PEL endorsed in School Psychology (interns considered)
Duties: The Psychologist will work with building based teams including principals, teachers, a coordinator, and a social worker. Must have knowledge of RTI/MTSS model using a team approach.

Start Date: August 12, 2019
Salary/Benefits: Hourly. Eligible for health insurance. Paid holidays, sick, and personal leave. (180-day contract)

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have (or be eligible for) Paraprofessional license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Holds a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent (GED)
  • Is at least 19 years of age

Duties: Assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, help special needs students, and cares for their physical, emotional health and safety, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships.

Paraprofessional/Job Coach 

Start Date: August 12, 2019
Salary/Benefits:  Hourly (180 days)
Type of Employment:  30 hours/week
Job Qualifications:

  • Must have or be eligible to obtain an IL Paraprofessional License
  • Have own transportation and be able to work in different locations throughout the day

Duties:  Provide one-on-one training and supervision to students at off-site training locations; Show students how to complete a task accurately; Urge students to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner; Monitor students’ progress regarding task completion/accuracy; Complete evaluations on each student a minimum of once monthly to document progress; and Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will hold their food manager certification and food safety certification.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • School/education experience preferred.

Duties: Assist Head Cook with food and meal preparation, serve student meals, assist with maintaining appropriate documentation for free/reduced lunch programs, assist with kitchen clean-up and dishes, and occasional transport of food from one building to another.

Job Qualifications:

Administrative Assistant/Job Coach

Start Date: August, 2019
Salary/Benefits: Hourly (190 days)
Type of Employment: Up to 40 hours/week
Job Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible, and have excellent communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • School/education experience preferred.

Duties: Enter student IEP data into State data system. Communicate data submission issues to administrators. Assist administrators in the planning and preparation of professional development trainings, report creation, and data management. Assist special education students at local job sites.
